WHY PARTNER WITH VALLES

A COMPANY COMMITTED TO...

SAFETY

Safety is Valles' first and foremost priority.  To ensure this is always considered at the forefront, and irrespective of cost, Valles equips their vessels with the necessary complement that is above the minimum standards required by Flag State.  Officers and crew will have sufficient hands on deck leading to safer navigation and compliance with rest hours.  Additionally, Valles is proud to have a high 90% retention rate for their officers which enhances vessel familiarity at joining.

The Company is committed to achieving operational excellence by managing vessels using a proactive and risk based approach.  It is Valles' belief that a key factor in operational excellence is the importance of learning from past events, unsafe conditions/acts/activity.  To reduce the risk of these occurences, Valles more specifically categorizes its Near Miss reporting into separate categories of Hazardous Occurrence, Unsafe Condition, Unsafe Act(ivity) and Near Miss.  Thereafter, Valles will share its reporting from one vessel to its entire fleet in order to progress.

Prior review of jobs and operations are considered in each instant by Valles' Safety Department.  They will review and approve each and every passage plan for their vessels, loading and discharging plans before vessel operations, stowage plans and STS transshipments of the fleet, among performing other due diligence.  As a result, proper risk assessments are always completed prior to any voyage, appropriate procedures on board are strictly being followed/documented and duty officers are well prepared for each vessel operation.

TRANSPARENCY

Since Valles is a family company, clients have a direct dialogue with top management.  Commercial operations are managed in house.  Accordingly, Charterers benefit from immediate access to Valles ship managers and have the comfort of knowing who they are dealing with.
